We’ve never had a bad view at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Due to the way the resort is laid out, the vast majority of rooms offer a savanna view. We’ve done the savanna view once, and received a pool view 2 other times we’ve stayed at Jambo House. Due to the way the lodge is laid out, maybe around 10% of rooms are going to have a parking lot (or similar) view. It is one of the prettiest bars you’ll find, with its dark wood floor, imitation stonework, casual African furniture, and beautiful lighting. Those new offerings should tip the scale towards Animal Kingdom a bit more, especially until the “new attraction smell” of the rides in Pandora wears off.

Each has unique animals because not all the animals get along well. If you want giraffes, try the Sunset Savanna or the Arusha Savanna. If you want a quieter environment, try the Uzima Savanna. Any balloons brought to the resort (from the theme parks, for example) will have to be checked with bell services for the duration of the guest’s stay. Our guests were amazed by all the animals at the resort. Sanaa also has Table Service To Go, which allows guests to Mobile Order and take their meal back to their room. There’s one main pool at Jambo House, but the pool at Kidani Village is only a short walk. If you need a non-park day, we recommended spending the day at your hotel and enjoying the Disney Resort pool.

This wasn’t much of a downgrade since there are viewing spots throughout the entire resort. Still, if the view is important to you then check out some room views ahead of time and make a request online during early check-in. Uzima Springs Pool Bar Uzima Springs, the pool bar at Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Jambo House, is a very nice looking bar. It has a thickly thatched roof which is supported by several natural looking logs and, of course, it overlooks the large resort pool and the immaculate building. Wandering just to the end of the pool finds you near the one-of-a-kind (on Disney property anyway) savannah, where you can enjoy your drink while enjoying the peaceful movements of giraffes and zebras.

As Taff and Gaynor began to interview the teens living in the home, they noticed that the relationship between the teens and their mother didn’t appear to be the best. The house was occupied in the early 1970s by a woman named Doris Bither and her four sons. Bither was not married at the time and had suffered from possible health issues that had required her to take some type of medication. It was deemed that due to trauma and other mental issues that may have stemmed from a difficult childhood, the medication that was prescribed to Bither may have been used to treat her. Bither also had a history of physical and substance abuse in the past. An interesting feature is the mitered glass corners at the windows; an early idea Wright later used at Fallingwater.

Bither and her family had left the home in California and relocated to Texas while managing to keep in touch with paranormal investigators. However, as Bither left for what might have been her new life in a new place the hauntings seemed to have continued. At some point, Bither and her family had disappeared to an undisclosed location. She had never come forward regarding her stories around the time of both the release of the book and the film based on her paranormal experiences. Rumor had it that she may have been pregnant with a child that may have been fathered by “The Entity”. The Entity House might just look like some ordinary house located smack dab in the middle of suburban Los Angeles.

Some researchers were able to see more of the man’s appearance as someone who appeared to be big and muscular in size. Hollyhock House features an entertainment room immediately to the right of the entrance. This room contains possibly the first built-in entertainment center, complete with LP-sized cabinets along the floor. Other notable rooms include a child's play area as well as a modernist kitchen, which long housed the museum gift shop.

But the home is known for having a story that was published into a book (and later adapted into a horror film that earned the house its name). The house was believed to the be sight of a series of hauntings with one victim recalling so many stories of each haunted happening.
